Windy and rainy weather is never fun, particularly on vacation. Thankfully, Charleston still offers plenty of activities that can be enjoyed even in not-so-ideal weather. Here’s just a few of many suggestions:

Go to the Charleston History Museum – It’s no secret Charleston has an abundance of great American history contained within so why not take away from your trip more than the pounds you’ll gain indulging in the great food.  Take away some knowledge as well!

Visit the aquarium – They have a 4D Theater which is definitely worth checking out along with an albino alligator. How many of those you think you’ll see in a lifetime?!

Walk through the City Market – This just happens to be one of the oldest markets still functioning today. There’s a lot of history to take in…along with great shopping of course; and that history isn’t as dark as you might be led to believe.  A common misconception is that the City Market once functioned as a slave market, but that is incorrect.
